Trashy Bags Company Limited, a waste management and recycling company has said that it would recycle all plastic wastes which would be collected at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium during the opening day of the Ghana 2008. The recycled waste would be turned into traveling bags and donated to the national senior football team, the Black Stars. Mr Kwame Osei-Bonsu, Chief Executive Officer of the company who said this in Accra on Monday the company's gesture is to serve as a motivation for the team to perform well and win the ultimate Cup. He said the company would deploy its workers to the stadium during the match and collect all the plastic wastes to keep the stadium clean and tidy. Mr Osei-Bonsu said the company in collaboration with other Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), Keep Fit Clubs and religious organizations would organize clean-up exercises at vantage points in the city of Accra on Saturday, January 19, to rid the city of filth before the commencement of the Ghana 2008. He called on other organizations and corporate bodies to help make the exercise a success, adding that, "since we are hosting the event, our surroundings should be kept clean to impress the visitors to our country". Mr Osei-Bonsu thanked T.T. Brothers, importers of fruit drinks, the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) and the Ga East District Assembly for the support they have continued to offer the company in its efforts to rid the city of filth.
