Ken Agyapong’s Dad Sues 3 Chiefs

20 Jan 2011 202 news, social

Three Chiefs at Assin Dopim and their assemblyman have been dragged to court over a land earmarked for the construction of public toilet. The chiefs have been taken to court because they had given a piece of land located close to a school building, to the assemblyman of the area for the construction of public toilets. The assemblyman, Mr. Gordon Fordjour confirmed to Adom News that he and the three chiefs have been sued at the Assin Fosu Magistrate court by Mr. Kofi Adjapong, who is said to be the father of MP for Assin North Kennedy Ohene Agyapong. Meanwhile, Mr. Kofi Agyapong tells Adom News that even though the piece of land does not belong to him, he will not allow the construction of the toilet which is located close to a school building. He says the location of the toilet will affect the health of the school children, so he thought it wise to stop them. Mr. Kofi Adjapong says the only way stop the construction work at the site is to take the matter to court. Adom News spoke to Mr. Kennedy Agyapong about the issue who declared his support for his father’s action. The MP threatened to demolish the toilet claiming that its location will be detrimental to the school children. He says the land in question does not belong his father as indicated earlier, but the problem has to do with the location.
