The Ghana Standard Board (GSB) has cautioned the public not to patronize newly introduced Portland cement on the market, “Global Premium Cement”, stating it is sub-standard. Tests results, the Board says, show that the new cement product is unsuitable and could pose danger to the building industry. The warning is contained in a press statement signed by Dr George B. Crentsil, the acting Executive Director of the Board. It said the imported product contains high insoluble residue and does not conform to the set standard.
