Ghanaians urged to be bold to take up great challenges 2011

The Reverend Robert Kwadwo Asante, Senior Pastor of the Grace Baptist Church at Amakom, Kumasi, has encouraged Ghanaians to be bold and take up great challenges as they entered into the New Year. He noted that God allowed challenges in the life of people not to destroy them but to change their fortunes and make things better for them. He was giving a New Year message at a watch night service held by the church on Friday. The Rev Asante spoke on the theme: “God’s Might and Power.” He said although many people might have found 2010 tough, they needed to remain steadfast in their faith and trust. He added that it was important they strengthened their relationship with God to live fulfilling lives. The Rev Asante also advised Christians to give thanks to God for their lives and said it should not be lost on anyone that the opportunity to live through another new year “is a wonderful gift from God.”
