There are many events and awards ceremonies that transcend others. In Africa, it is no other than the most famous African Music Awards ceremony KORA Awards that honours most music celebs in Africa and the diaspora. Years have come and passed! Two years without KORA is a challenging situation but all the same KORA IS BACK, BIGGER AND BETTER! KORA is now in Calabar, Cross River State in Nigeria to stay for a minimum of five years. KORA 2008, with a marketing slogan “One Billion Viewers…..One Hundred countries….One Hundred Artistes…….One Amazing Prize………….One Million US Dollars” kicked off with a launch last year December 20, 2007 in Nigeria. Come February 2 2008, KORA will host big Nigerian Entertainment Editors to a lunch party in Lagos, which will then be followed by a press conference in Lagos to announce the calendar for KORA 2008. All roads will be leading to Calabar, Nigeria for the biggest awards ceremony ever in Africa.
