Akwasi Agyeman Weds

BEAT WAVES has gathered that Peace FM's Broadcast-Journalist Akwasi Okyere Agyeman weds today after a long wait which made many of his friends jest as to the kind of lady he was waiting for before 'settling down'. Sources close to him say that contrary to speculations that he was either getting married to a lady-dancer from one of the Francophone countries or a Black American, Beat Waves can say that Akwasi is finally going for a Ghanaian. The wedding reception would be a state-of-the-art one at a luxurious hotel in Accra. Reports say the bride-to-be has a charming beauty, capable of provoking even a Catholic Bishop to renounce his vow of celibacy. Further checks reveal that the traditional engagement as well as the signing of the marriage at the Registrar General's Department would be held today 12th July. Reports say Akwasi and his bride would then fly to South Africa for a one month honey-moon in Port Elizabeth. Two Accra-based media practitioners were recently overheard gossiping over the issue, with one of them jokingly insinuating that Akwasi would be joining the group of men who had lost their 'independence'. The bride-to-be is said to be a very reserved lady who does not like media attention.
