The Methodist University College at Dansoman in Accra has been hit by a major examination leakage. This has resulted in the cancellation of a level 200 Accounting paper. Authorities of the University on Wednesday December 15, asked over hundred students who were sitting for the paper to stop writing 30 minutes after they had started due to the leakage. The University has begun investigations into the source of the leakage. A source close to the University’s Management told Citi News many students had access to the paper hours before the exams. Meanwhile, some of the students are agitated; saying authorities should have cancelled the paper earlier than they did. A Level 200 student who spoke to Citi News on the grounds of anonymity said it was unfair for them to have written for thirty minutes only for the paper to be cancelled. “According to them, they found some people holding the exam papers in the lecture halls, toilets, washrooms and other places. The writings were in the same font size and word to word” he said. On Saturday 13th November 2010, a similar incident hit the University of Ghana where papers for its mature students’ entrance exam leaked.
