Ms Mary Animwah, Fanteakwa District Director of Education, has urged parents to adopt positive measures to reform their children instead of pronouncing curses and insult on them for misconduct. Ms Animwah who gave the advice at a School Performance Appraisal Meeting (SPAM) organized by the District Education Oversight Committee at Nteso said such negative utterances could psychologically affect the development of the children and render them social liabilities. She attributed the current high level of indiscipline among children to the lack of parental control and over pampering. When the situation got out of control parents vented their anger on their children through negative utterances she observed, and reminded them that such insults and curses amounted to the abuse of the rights of the children.
