Augustus Nartey, 25 and a Security Officer with Kent House Company has been arraigned before a Circuit Court in Accra for allegedly defiling a three year old pupil. Presenting the facts at the Court Prosecuting Officer ASP George Abavelin said on the 9 October this year the accused was on guard duty at an MTN Tower Post which has been erected on the premises of the victim's school at Apapa La, a suburb of Accra. ASP Abavelin said at the close of school on that fateful day the complainant in the case who happens to be the mother of the victim did not go to pick the victim from school on time. When finally the complainant made it to the school she met the victim playing near where the accused was seated and after they had exchanged greetings the mother took her home. According to the Prosecutor the complainant while bathing the daughter that evening observed that victim screamed anytime she attempted touching her vaginal region. The mother then suspected foul play and after interrogation the victim informed her that it was the Security Officer that defiled her in the school and based on this a report was made to the police and accused was arrested after investigations. At the Court Presided over by Her Lordship Mrs. Georgina Mensah-Datsa the accused pleaded not guilty and was remanded in prison custody to reappear on the 13 November this year
