Motorbike Rider Dies In Crash | Daniel Hoenyega

Aflao, Sept 30, GNA - Daniel Hoenyega, a 26-year-old motorbike rider, crashed into power distribution pole and died instantly on Wednesday at Adafienu in the Volta Region. Horve Bebli, the pillion rider, who sustained injuries, was responding to treatment at Sape-Agbo Memorial Hospital at Denu. An eye witness told Ghana News Agency that the deceased, who operated shuttle commercial motorbike services, sent a passenger to Adafienu and was returning to Aflao around mid-day when the tragedy occurred. He said Hoenyega, who was not wearing a helmet crashed the motorbike into the pothole and burst the rear tyre. Mr Daniel Dzansi, Aflao District Police Crime Officer, confirmed the accident and said the Police had recently clampdown on riders who did not use helmets.
