Ghana Black Stars would take seriously its match against the Brave Warriors of Namibia in the second “Group A” game scheduled for the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra on Thursday. Black Stars trainer, Claude Le Roy told the GNA Sports his charges will go into Thursday’s tie keeping in mind that it is needless to undervalue any team. Namibia were spanked 5-1 in their group opener against Morocco but the French trainer insists the outcome is not enough to tempt the Stars to underestimate their opponents who are classified by pundits as the weakest in the Group. “We have to be humble against Namibia because in football, anything can happen. “We will try and be at our best against Namibia and the desire is to continue from where we left off in the game with Guinea. Coach Le Roy said: “It is a known fact to us that football can be very complicated and it is always important to keep that in mind to be guided along the way.” Ghana could book a place in the quarter-finals if it defeated the Brave Warriors. Le Roy says it is too early to think Ghana will win the trophy that will equal Egypt’s enviable record at the Continent’s plum competition for her nations. “Our desire is to lift the trophy and that will be very special. But we are also aware of the quality of all the teams and we want to take things one by one.” Ghana is favoured ahead of Namibia in the game that will be preceded by a Guinea-Morocco duel all in the same group. The Black Stars lie second in the group with inferior goals to Morocco and a fine win could qualify them to the last eight stage of the biennial championship.
