Cameroonians striker Samuel Eto'o Flis inched closer to breaking CAF's most tournament goals record when he scored his 14th goal in the history of the tournament in the Indomitable Lions' 5-1 convincing win over the 'Chipolopolo' of Zambia in their Group 'C' at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.

The FC Barcelona striker, by that feat has equalled the 38 years old all-time 14 goals record held by Cote d'Ivoire's Laurent Pokou.

Pokou, one of the legends of Africa's football set the all-time record in the Africa Cup of Nations in 1970 when he scored five goals against Ethiopia to add up to the eight he had scored in previous tournaments in the 1960s.

Eto'o, who was beside himself with joy, celebrated in grand style as he scored Cameroon's fourth goal in the 64th minute in their match against Zambia to equal Pokou's record.

The Cameroonian striker has so far scored three goals in the ongoing Ghana 2008 soccer fiesta and as the Indomitable Lions play Sudan in their last group match, Eto'o would certainly be looking forward to setting a new record while he also contends for the goal king race in this year's Ghana 2008 tournament.
