Mr Musah Abdulaih, Bawku Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) has proposed stringent disciplinary codes for schools in the area, to stem indiscipline. He observed that the phenomenon was becoming a canker and impacting negatively on students academic performance. Mr Abdulaih was speaking at the inauguration of a GH¢571,150.35 12-unit- classroom block for Bawku Senior High School. He urged the students to scorn social vices such as alcoholism, truancy and laziness. The MCE said the facility would provide the needed classrooms for students in the municipality. Mr Abdulaih commended the staff of the school for their commitment to duty. The Headmaster, Mr Bismark Simon Kpuuli acclaimed the government for promoting quality education through the provision of school infrastructure. He said the 48- year-old school would continue to produce individuals who would stand up for the truth in the society by virtue of their training. Mr Kpuuli said the school was faced with accommodation problems for students and teachers and appealed to government, Parent- Teacher Association and development partners to come to the aid of academic facility.
