The Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA) on Friday donated a set of furniture worth GH¢14,000 to the Ga Traditional Council (GTC). Mr Alfred Oko Vanderpuije, Chief Executive Officer of AMA, said it was the responsibility of the Assembly to foster good relationship with the GTC and ensure the proper maintenance of their offices. Mr Vanderpuije said AMA would help to ensure that the Chieftaincy institution played a significant role in the city. He expressed concern about the level of disputes among chiefs and said arrangements would be made to settle them to make Accra a peaceful city. Members of the GTC thanked Mr Vanderpuije for the kind gesture.
