A seventy-six year old farmer and Spiritualist known as ‘Atiko’, is reported to have shot and butchered his 60-year old wife to death. The incident occurred on Thursday February 3, between the hours of 9-10pm at Akyim Muoso near Anyinam in the Eastern Region. The man who is believed to have spiritual powers is said to have been arrested in the early hours of Friday 4. An Eyewitness Kwaku Asante confirmed the incident to Citi News. “The man killed the woman with a gun, axe and cutlass. Nobody could even go close to him because he was having a gun ready to shoot at anyone. Even when the Policemen came there, they couldn’t go inside where he is. He gave several warning shots at the police. The man has some spiritual powers so he was behaving so the police shot one of his legs before they arrested him” he narrated.
