Wegeiwor sings of God’s greatness
Gospel singer, Wegeiwor has released a single, Wo So (You are Great) from her upcoming album titled Faithfulness.
The piece, recorded by award winning producer, Shadrach Yawson aka Shaa features OJ of Maye Se Mo Pen fame.
Wo So, a slow pace worship song according to Weigewor is thanking God for the wonderful things He has done in her life over the years.
"I am completely blown away by the transformation Jesus brings into my very existence. I could not hold back but proclaim his greatness and supremacy over all of his creation.
“The song opens up your spirit and mind to the magnificence of the Creator," Wegeiwor said about Wo So.
The Alijanda singer believes her collaboration with OJ would give her more exposure in the gospel music fraternity.
"Sharing the same birthday with OJ is confirmation of the agreement of spirit and purpose that we both share. It is evident that this song comes from an already ordained and predestined place.
“ My prayer is that, every listener will get the revelation of the song”, she told the Graphic Showbiz on Friday.
Describing herself as a musician cum philanthropist, Wegeiwor, born Patience Aseweh Abor hails from Kayoro, a village in the Upper East Region of Ghana.
She trained as a nurse and subsequently acquired a master’s degree and she is a PhD holder in Management from the University of Southampton. Currently, she is a lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School.
Apart from being blessed with a great voice, she also has a deep passion for the vulnerable and is already embarking on a project to better the lives of lots of women and children in deprived areas.
Wegeiwor disclosed that she will use proceeds from the album sale to support the less privileged in Kayoro, her hometown.
“Wegeiwor is here to establish a reputation in the gospel music world and help the vulnerable as well.
“I am determined to use my talent and office as a philanthropist to contribute meaningfully to empowering young under-privileged girls to aspire for greater heights”, she said.
