DEPUTY COACH of the national team, Kwasi Appiah has disclosed that more quality players will be invited to the local Black Stars team, ahead of their titanic clash with Nigeria in the Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers. Though satisfied with the output of the team in their encounter with Togo, Appiah insisted there were loopholes in the team that need to be plugged. The former Kotoko and national skipper stated that he would recruit quality players from the local premiership to make the team a winsome one before the Stars meet rivals, Nigeria. He thus entreated players in the premiership who were not part of the current Black Stars not to give up hope and rather keep on giving their best “because they can catch our sharp lenses any time soon”. Touching on Black Stars’ date with Nigeria, Coach Appiah predicted victory for his side. “We will qualify to the tournament at the expense of Nigeria, so there is cause for alarm”.
