Yes, the Stars of the Future night of oldies did not only bring back the sounds of th eighties but also the fashion statements that characterized the decade. The remaining nine contestants dazzled audiences (for the most part) with classic sounds from icons such as Cool & The Gang, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston and Eddy Grant to mention a few. Due to the picture carved in the corner on my mind's eye, I am tempted to be carried away by the appearances of the contestants on the night rather than comment on their performances. But I will try to comment on both. LOL! Stephanie, the shutter bug delight, was again very disappointing this night. In spite of looking so magnificent, she still managed to sound horrible and, quite frankly, it's about time she left the competition. She was initially in my top 4 but she has proven time and again that she hasn't got the voice to climb that high. She was no match for a Whitney song. Adjoa, who did another Whitney classic, was relatively better but I just couldn't reconcile her Afro with Whitney. I have never seen Ms Houston in an Afro, maybe I haven't been around that long!
