Or did Africa do him? I don’t know what it is about 50 Cent’s trips to Africa but they seem to be full of interesting situations. Take for instance the time in Nigeria in 2004 when he had a scuffle with Idris Abdulrakeem over plane seats. His performance this weekend in South Africa was pretty good and well received, though. No incidents there. But he goes to Angola, land of the notorious ‘blood diamonds’ and performs in front of people who are living the results of the mining of these diamonds. And what does he do? Comes on stage with his bling just BLINGING!! Now imagine you are hungry, and the diamonds are a-calling? What would you do? Would you be like the man in the video below (he shows up at about the 1:40 mark of the video)? There is no word on whether he got his medallion back, but if the man got away, his family is eating and buying some serious land right about now. If he is a generous man, the entire village just invested in land, houses, food, education, and development! 50 Cent was singing “Candy Shop” when this happened……Hey Fiddy, somebody’s going to the Candy Shop fo’ sho!
