Mp Donates Computers To Two Schools

23 Nov 2011 701 news, education

The Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South in the Greater Accra Region, Fritz Baffuor, has donated computers and their accessories valued at GH¢12,000 to the St Margaret Mary Senior High School at Dansoman and the St Michael and All Angels Anglican Basic School at Korle-Gonno, both in Accra. Each of them had five computers in fulfillment of promises he made to them. Mr Baffuor said Information and Communication Technology (ICT) had become an integral part of education, adding that through ICT, Ghana could compete with countries which had integrated ICT into their development programmes. Mr. Baffuor appealed to the schools to take good care of the computers and ensure that they were used for their intended purpose. The headmaster of St Michael and All Angels Anglican Basic School, Mr. Benedictus Larry Agbo expressed his appreciation for the gesture and was optimistic that the computers would help improve the academic performance of the students.
