The GSE All-Share Index, the benchmark measure of performance of the Ghana Stock Exchange, fell during Friday's session by 12.56 points to close at 6,806.13 points from Thursday's close of 6,818.69. The change year to date now stands at 22.14 per cent. The only gainer for the session was State Insurance Company (SIC), which rose GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢0.40. Laggards were CAL Bank (CAL), which was down GH¢0.01 to close at GH¢0.29 and Ecobank Ghana Limited (EBG) which dropped GH¢0.04 at GH¢3.00. Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) was the most active stock during the session, accounting for more than 85 per cent of the volume traded. Shares that changed hands were 932,000, valued at GH¢346,137.00. Market capitalisation closed the session down at GH¢19,898.06 million.
