MP initiates GH¢100,000 library project at Kropo

Work is steadily progressing on a GH¢100,000.00 library project initiated by the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bantama, Madam Cecilia Abena Dapaah, at Kropo in her constituency. Already, an amount of GH¢70,000, had been spent on the project. The Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund) is supporting the implementation project, which is expected to be ready within six months. Madam Dapaah on Thursday inspected work on the library so far and told newsmen that she was impressed with what she saw. The remaining job to be done include plastering, plumbing, electrical works and painting. The MP promised to ensure that the library would be well stocked to make it more beneficial, especially to teachers and students and enhance the academic performance of schools in the constituency. Madam Dapaah underlined the importance of education and encouraged parents to see to it that their kids in school were provided with all the basic needs Children on their part should uphold the values of discipline, hard work and honesty, she added.
