Editor of the Daily Searchlight newspaper, Ken Agyei Kuranchie, has vowed to forever cease being a panelist on any radio discussion programme if the STX Group is able to build 100 Housing units by December 2012. President Mills on Thursday, January 27, cut the sod for the start of construction of 30,000 housing units for the security services by the STX Group. The 1.5 billion dollar project will help improve the accommodations challenges facing the security services in the country. The groundbreaking ceremony which took place at the Police Training College at Tesano, in Accra, is the first phase of a 10 billion dollar STX Housing project. President Mills in his speech urged Ghanaians to position themselves to take advantage of the many job opportunities that will be created when construction of STX Housing project begins. In the course of a live studio discussion on the subject, the Editor of the pro-government newspaper sent a text to the host of Asempa FM’s Ekosii sen programme, Bobie Ansah, and swore to cease being a resource person on any radio discussion programme should STX Korea construct just 100 of the projected 30,000 Housing units for the security services. “I will stop speaking on radio if the STX Group and the NDC government is able to build even 100 houses by December 2012,” he wagered.
